大学でアート史を学んだ、アート好きのキャサリン妃
そして、
もう何度も聞いたと思いますが(笑)
キャサリンさんは、
London
”the National Portrait Gallery”
2012年以来の、パトロン。

この日訪問されたギャラリーは、
そのナショナルポートレートギャラリーと、
提携しているんですね～。

それゆえに、
ナショナルポートレートギャラリーが
購入したマスターピース☆
アートと共にこの街が活性化するよう
ここに飾られることに。

The royal is now viewing the the gallery’s Self: Image and Identity exhibition which features the last self-portrait by Sir Anthony Van Dyck.
This painting was recently bought for the nation by the National Portrait Gallery after a massive public appeal.

キャサリン妃にとって、
ポートレートをご覧になるのは
これが２回目☆
最初は昨年、ポートレートギャラリーで。
その時は、プライベートとしてでした。

アンソニー・ヴァン・ダイクは、バロック期のフランドル出身の画家
also learnt about how the gallery engages with the local community through the Clore Learning Studio. She was introduced to children from Holy Trinity and St. John's Church of England school, who were having fun taking part in an arts and crafts project

ジョージ王子を妊娠中、

ということで妊娠期が、やはりほぼ同時期

イギリス南東部ケント州にある港町Margateに
2011年にオープンした「ターナー・コンテンポラリー」
「ターナー・コンテンポラリー」は、
master British landscape artist JMW Turner
イギリスを代表する風景画家であるJ.M.W.Turner
(ジョゼフ・マロード・ウィリアム・ターナー)
がかつて住んでいたゆかりの深いこの地に建てられました。

アーティストの街としての復活を目指して
Turner Contemporary is one of the UK’s leading art galleries and since opening in 2011 has become one of the most successful galleries in the UK

『Resort Studios』 artist community

”Resort Studios”
a vibrant arts organisation.
It offers a high-quality programme of events and workshops alongside art studios and exhibition space. It aims to encourage experimentation and collaboration in an inspiring, professional and supportive environment.

a Victorian warehouse now home to 40 creative people.
Her Royal Highness toured the Resort Studios, which was set up in 2013 and hosts photographers, painters, artists, fashion designers, jewellers and film-makers.
Among those she met was Teresa Limbrick, 53, who showed The Duchess her line of paintings on silk within her workshop.

“You’re looking very trim,”

former hotelier Jenny Cranstone told her as she toured artists’ studios and met people taking part in an art project about the town’s history.

“I sometimes forget I’m pregnant,”

Kate replied.

After touring the studios, including a print studio and workshops, The Duchess formally opened a creative hub following a drum roll.

『Officially named P&O Cruises ship ‪#‎Britannia‬』

@ the Ocean Cruise Terminal in Southampto

Britannia is the largest cruise ship built for P&O Cruises and will take the fleet to eight ships. She will be able to accommodate up to 3647 passengers and 1350 crew over eighteen decks and will feature a collection of work by contemporary British artists.

The Queen has previously launched
the QE2 in 1967,
Oriana in 1995,
Queen Mary 2 in 2004
Queen Elizabeth in 2010.
